The number one most disturbing things I've seen in the past week: 1. The Hulk, which was a mind blowingly BAD movie. I learned a lot about How Not to Make A Movie. A) There's a reason that split screen went out of fashion! B) People expect explosions and they are noticible when absent. C) Bongos are NOT appropriate for all occasions. D) Just because you can THINK of fancy CGI wipes doesn't mean you should use them! 2. On the Disturb-o Meter is Teen Titians. The spanky new cartoon from Warner Brothers. What makes it so disturbing, you ask, aside from Beast Boy's gender bending voice, Robin's package. Not only is it drawn in a crappy, 'we're trying to be anime style, even though we're Americans and don't know how to draw it' way BUT it's trying waaay toooo hard! The slash potential is fabulous though! In the episode I saw, Robin has a fight with Cyborg and they break up. Robin, to the accompaniment of sad music, then wanders around the Teen Titians' apartment looking longingly at Cyborg's weightlifting equipment and playing his favorite video game. It ends happily when Cyborg saves Robin's life and they get back together. The biggest question about Teen Titians is with all the futuristic equipment in their apartment, why don't they have a dishwasher?
