I actually got a commision off of Etsy a few weeks ago and this is the fruit of my labors! Actually there is a companion piece-the commission was for 2. So there is another girl in lengerie that I haven't posted yet. All in all I'm pretty pleased. The turquoise color did not look good when I first did highlights with the dodge tool, then I switched the dodge to 'shadows' which for some reason still lightens the color.... Once the turquoise had lightened to a good color THEN I used the dodge set on 'highlights'. FYI-midtones does nothing as far as I can tell...

I'm trying to take a contest worthy photo of Sathariel too. I shot nearly 100 frames the other day but I'm still not satisfied. The funny thing was- when I took her inside I noticed her hair was green! I'm like 'wth??' It turns out her hair GLOWS IN THE DARK!!! I only JUST noticed because frankly, I keep my dolls in their boxes most of the time.

Ani-jam Fresno's sad little anime con is next week and I get the distinct feeling my friend dropped the ball on getting a temp. sellers permit. I was hoping to sell off all my old manga and make enough $$$$ to buy a doll! Now all I have left is the artist alley table and I doubt I'll crack $200 at this thing.

But! I did manage to get copies of the TOKYOPOP sneaks that DMD is in so I can hand those out. I'm panicking over vol. 1. What if everyone hates it? What if it doesn't sell??? I feel doomed to be second teir hack all my life were real actual success accompanied by steady income will forever remain tantalizingly just out of reach.


OMG! I almost forgot to mention that my roomie's horrible siamese cat died today! We actually never like him so niether of us care. Her ex-husband asked if she'd take him (Sid) since apperently he'd fucked up one too many times at their house. Sid was really annoying and had peed on several appliances ruining 2 of them. He pissed on and ruined her fax machine and toaster. he also pissed on the stove and she didn't know it until she turned on the burner!!! Apparently the stink of cooking cat piss is something else. Luckily I wasn't there to experience it. Any, Sid- sorry you will not be missed.
