"Even monsters need air, sir."
Apr. 27th, 2006 07:29 pmI just finished watching the greatest anime ever made! Samurai Champloo. My god! The only way that series can be hotter is if Jin and Mugen got it on! For a minute at the end there I thought they were gonna die. But they didn't!! Hooray! I actually really liked the ending. I know some people might not but I thought it was really satisfying. The coolist part of the show is the historical context. In a weird way, despite all the anachronisims, it gave Japanese history more of a context than any other more generic Samuai epics that I have seen. It also helps that I saw a really good documentary on Japan on the History Channel awhile ago. So it was fascinating having the characters talk about westerners, foreign influence in Japan, the Christians, and the fact that the Dutch were the only traders allowed. My favorite episode has to be the one where the Americans show up and they have to play baseball.
I have indeed secured a table at Fanime!! Thank god! After all that I am going to sell like crazy! At least I better! I intend to come home with tons of money. $$$$$ I have been slaving in Photoshop. Even if no one else is really impressed with me I am really impressed with me. I've only been working on Photoshop for 2 years now and I think I've come a loooonnnnngggg way! I'm even PAINTING WATER!!!!! For the love of god.....WATER! It kind of looks ok too:) All I can say is I really like the gaussian blur. I think everyone who works on the computer kind of settles into a certain style and you can always tell what people's favorite Photoshop effects are.
