SOOOOOOOOO, my art computer is in the shop. It has been for the whole week. The problem it's been having is that the power shuts off immediately after being turned on. So, wanting to take care of it and seeing as how the problem happened repeatedly I take it to the repair shop. And of course they can find NOTHING wrong!! Nothing, they put it through it's paces, tested it's heat stress level (or something I don't even know), tested the CPU, ran it, shut it down, started it up, etc and...... Still nothing! This is exactly what happens when your car makes a funny noise and take it in and it runs perfectly for the mechanic. I basically told the guy to keep it until he FOUND something wrong with it. I need it back but more than that I need it back working 100%. I'm in the middle of con prep (Fanime is frighteningly close!!) and I don't need it back only to have it spaz out at some really critical juncture, say when I'm printing the doujinshi, only to dend it back to the shop and lose another week while they scratch their heads and it works fine. OR I'll get it back after they declre it fine and it will suffer some critical hardware death and catch fire and then I'll lose all my work because I'm too lazey to back up my file as often as I should. OR the only thing it will need is a new power chord. You know how power chords get bent and the wires loose their conductivity, who wants to bet that THAT is the source of all my woes and I'll have to pay hundreds of dollars to the repair people to find nothing wrong and all I needed in the first place was a new chord that costs like $5.

On the upside I may have another person for the doujinshi!! YAY!! I still have barely worked on my contribution, I don't know why I don't want to do it so badly.

I'm also thinking of curtailing the amount of fan art I do. It ends up being all I do. I haven't worked on my Tarot deck in ages and that could potentially earn me royalties. I need to start doing things with long term money invilved. ANd I want to draw original art more. Etsy has been a great outlet for that too. I made my FISRT sale too! I'm really happy, but I'm also anxious for more sales. Along with the bookmarks and dolls I want to put up more art prints and I'm going to start making bookthongs with original art charms that I'll make out of shrinkydinks. I bought shrinkydink plastic on ebay and now I have to find out if I can put it through my inkjet.
