Yeah yeha, I usually don't update so much but Sacanime isn't the only exciting thing to happen. I got my ED Alice Piggie Re-release from Denver Doll Emporium where she has been on layaway the last 3 months!
I'll post pics in a second. I just spent the last hour watching Ebert and Roeper online and one of the many reviews I watched was Pixar's Cars which was oddly truncated for some reason. Anytway they mentioned that the movie worked on the two layers for adults and children (apparently adults require pop culture references and sly sexual inuendo to enjoy an animated film) and I kept thinking, if a film aimed at children is good enough and intelligent enough it doesn't NEED the stupid pop culture refs inuendo. It becomes a film that adults and children can enjoy for the same reasons. Case in point Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service and even I have to say Ratatouill. Pop culture in particular dates anything as does slang and the use of poular at the moment music. I can't imagine that 10 years from now anyone is going to care about (or even 'get' something like Shrek).
Okay, onto dolls!
