So much to report and so little time. I'll start with the garage sale at the YMCA. Which I still did quit. The Y scheduled poorly and there garage sale was during Ren Faire. But I still managed to make $35. Most of that went to financing Yaoicon. But I splurged on myself and bought a manga! I bought Sugar, Sugar, Rune by Moyoco Anno. And I LOVE it! It makes me want to draw comics. Which is totally BAD and I have to get over that.
Warning: this next paragraph is totally disgusting!
While at the mall, it is compulsory to go by the pet shop and look at the puppies in the window. But this time, one little adorable chihauha was eating poop as it was coming out of the anus of another adorable chihauha puppy!!! That made them a LOT less adorable. It was horrible!! It didn't even hit the ground!
Speaking of horribleness, the gym is filthy! Everything is covered in hair. I can't wait to quit! Worse thing found at the gym so far: a rolled up panty liner on top of the soap dispenser in the shower.
I am almost entirely done with fan art. Yay me!!! I've only got one color piece to finish and I need to make a cover for the sketchbook I printed.
The Renaissance Faire in the park is pretty lame. I know I've talked about this before. But once more the general public was treated to Ren Goths. You know what I'm talking about. That's all those people who marginally dress in period costume except that it's all black, they have lots of tatoos, and seem compelled to wear fairy wings. So at the next Ren Faire in your area go and view this unique breed of Goth.
Just this morning, I was walking to the writers' group and there was a high school marching band review going on. The crowd seemed to be comprised entirely of people in high school and the parents of people in high school. But there were a couple of goth/punks. And I thought, "What on earth is any self-respecting goth/punk doing at any event that even vaguely smacks of school spirit?" In MY day, WE eshewed anything having to do with school or school spirit! And we knew what 'eschewed' means!
