Curses Vista!

Lately the Vista Security center or whatever it calls itself has been freaking out, telling me websites like deviant art and Photobucket aren't safe- launching itself into a scan, telling me my computer is infected with trojans, worms and malware- then asking me to subscribe to the Microsoft Vista security protection. BUT I already have McAfee! I've had McAfee since I got this laptop and whenever the McAfee scans it doesn't find anything! Now correct me if I'm wrong, and I very well could be, but I was under the impression that McAfee was a leader in internet security. They seem to have their shit together, the McAfee updates on a near daily basis and the scans take and ETERNITY to complete. So I was thinking that McAfee is pretty good internet security and that if it isn't finding all these trojans, spyware, malware and worms on my computer, than maybe, just MAYBE Microsoft is trying to scare me into sending them money.

Am I wrong? Is McAfee completely and totally bogus? Does it do nothing to protect my computer??
