I still can't get over Beryl- or more specifically those legs! This has ruined dolls for me! I'm sorry I own about half the dolls I do now. Although I'm loath to sell them all off. I'm just sorry I bought them. The exceptions being Luna and Kurumi. I could probably part with Isabella and Emilio the easiest. Neither of them are limiteds. The little girls... hmmmm... I'd keep Cosette ans Sathariel but sell Lacrima. Unfortunately I kinda hang onto things so I'm not really selling any of them unless someone really REALLY loved them. Plus, I doubt anyone would be that interested in my dolls. I have odd taste to say the least and none of the dolls I own, except Luna and Kurumi, are really worth much. Infact I'd loose money on them I'm sure, and I don't want to do that either.

Basically Soom has raised the bar on dolls- permanently! I'm not sure they even expected such a response but there really is a hunger for ever more fantastical sculpts and it's nice to know someone is trying to fill it. I'm hoping that Beryl represents a major paradigm shift from exclusively human or anthro dolls to a whole new realm of combinations and fantasy. I'd like to see ever more creative and unique sculpts- ever more rarified dolls, being made.

PLEASE! If you a signed up on Soom, please go request a succubus version of Dia! I like her sculpt better than Beryls and would more happily go into debt for her. I'm not that fond of Beryl actually- the head is only OK, which is probably why I've managed some restraint- and why I'm not selling off my collection to pay for her.

From now on I save my money- outfit some of the dolls I own already- MAYBE finish my current projects or sell them off, and wait and watch the Soom sight. On my Den Of Angels profile I erased my wish list (which was quite long) and put down "From now on all dolls will be compared to Soom Beryl and found wanting". So, unless it has bent legs and hooves I'll pass. The upside is I'm going to be saving a ton of money! AND now maybe Alexei can finally get that suite ;) Poor guy!

My dolls- a sellers breakdown:
Isabella- Lishe is a popular mold and I hear the new ones just aren't the same as the old ones and I think she's the old one. Only problem is, well, she's old and yellowed. I probably couldn't get what I paid for her back in 2005

Alexei- Heath is probably one of the least popular limited males that Volks has done. I'll say this- painted right and photographed right he's awesomely hot! Do it wrong and he looks retarded. Also- I think after 3 heavily gothic face-ups I've managed to stain him. I couldn't get what he's worth and besides- I still love him!

Cosette- Another unpopular doll I'd take a complete bath on if I tried to sell her. I love this little brat so much and I can't beleive she's not incredibly popular!

Sathariel- another limited though not sold out. Torrie is more popular than Persian but my guess is not popular enough to get back what I paid.

Kurumi- Goes to the grave with me.

Luna- Goes to the grave with me. These dolls will be pried from my cold dead hands.

Emilio- Hybrid- I could MAYBE get back his cost but I'd have to sell him peices which I'm loathe to do after putting him together. He's just so darn cute!

Nutmeg- Nope- not selling! I love these little pigs!

Scarlet- I'm happier with her face-up and therefore like her more than Lacrima. So I'd keep her before keeping Lacrima

Lacrima- I DO like her, really, I'm not %100 on her face-up... I could maybe get full price for her. I might even be able to sell her with the face-up...

Saint- Ahhhhh... The unsellable Saint- my frankendoll. No one is going to buy a horribly yellowed body for what I PAID for a horribly yellowed body and no one is going to buy a Yori boy! No one buys Yori girls for pete's sake.

This seems so cruel... I do like my collection- I do! It all just feels hollow after seeing Beryl...
