Okay Windows Vista blows chunks! I hate it. Knowing that the McAfee that came with my computer (who is going to be named The Pokey Little Puupy on account of it's unaccountable slowness remarked on even by the techie who put in the router today) will expire in 30 days I dutifully purchased Norton which the CompUsa dude said would work with Vista. Well, it won't install! It says it has to go to some link to get some special version version so I click the link and the Symantic page says there's been some error. That I'm trying to register an expired product. Thing is it hasn't even asked for a product key yet!! It won't even install to that point and stupid Vista keeps asking if I want to 'X' program, and my computer is SO slow!! I click a button and have to sit and wait for it to something, like close a window! It takes a long time to shut down too.

Back to Norton- I uninstalled freebie McAfee before trying to install the Norton and then had to use the Toshiba recovery disc to get it back after Norton fell on its ass. What the hell is going on? It's Norton 2007 and has a sticker on it that says Ready for Windows Vista and has a little web addy that's basically for a Vista update.

Should I try again? Should I leave the McAfee, try to install Norton and then if it works take off the McAfee? Or do I kiss the $35+ spent on Norton goodbye?
