"My empire of dirt"

Well, it's the and of an era with the last episode of Buffy. I just felt I had to weigh in on it. I must say that the end left me rather cold and disappointed. I thought it was bland and and antclimactic. I was neither angry with the ending nor impressed. I just couldn't seem to muster any motion about it. Even when they killed Spike, who was my favorite character. (The funny thing is, I always swore if they killed him off I would quit watching the show. Although I never really meant it.)

I also felt that this entire last season was adrift. The pacing seemed off, like no one knew what to do with it. The whole seventh season seemed hackneyed and rushed. The last few episodes of Buffy had no drama. I actually hoped that Buffy would die again :-). I wanted Kennedy to die a lot. She is an obnoxious character, poorly developed, and played by a mediocre actress. One of my big complaints about the last few seasons of Buffy has been that Willow IS NOT GAY! She had a very loving relationship with Oz who was definitely male. She is bisexual.
