21. Do any of your characters have children? How well do you write them?

Well, right now the only characters with children are in Tea Times Three and the way the book is told they only Mary-Alice Ruiz (age 16 daughter of Rosa) is getting much air time in her own section with her friends. There are two little kids of a single mom in the book but I haven't gotten back to their story yet. Since T3 is a book about a town it follows a lot of characters each in short scenes and then goes on to another scene so it has a pretty large ensemble cast. I'm up to page 124 (handwritten) and only JUST introduced William who I want to see more of in the book. He just hasn't been in it til now. I think I write kids pretty well though. Not dumb but not smart asses either. I hate the precocious 'wiser than their years' kid only because it has usually been done better elsewhere. Kids aren't that smart- they have short attention spans and the DON'T know it all.

In other news after TWO YEARS I have finally figured out the ending of the RFN! Go me! Go Ambriel! Yays! Only one other person on earth knows about it and she hasn't written me back yet T__T sob! But hopefully I'll hear something in a week or so. I am so relieved I can't even tell you. I had a vague idea all along but now it finally all came together! And at the gym no less. I swear to gawd go to the gym, ignore the music, don't use your headphones, and ignore the giant TVs and just THINK! It always solves my problems :) Of course the RFN is now at whopping 715 pages, and still somewhere in the middle-ish. But I think I solved that problem too! I think I'll cut the first 2/3 or so and publish it online as Ambriel's travel logue! But I'm not sure about that either. Much will have to be considered!

Gah! I want an agent! Finish the books then find one! I keep telling myself that! Of course there is a slim chance I can get in at a small press or something! But it seems like my options are narrowing!

I do beleive that T3 has the potential to be 'the right book at the right time'. Ambriel....I dunno about that one. When it's done I'll have to drum up readers/critiquers for it. Maybe by then I'll have some professional writer friends who are willing to be my critique partner. And or maybe some of you all out there!

PS- I have a swank new drip system! Yay me!
