This was a very good weekend! I went to the BJD mini-con in San Diego and had a nice time- even if I didn't win the costume contest :( I was hoping but poor Birch's little handmade (by me) dress could not compare to some of the outfits there. But most people had never seen or heard of a Drui before so she got some attention! Poor Cosette didn't get much, but she did meet Moon, Ailene's little Anis girl and together I dubbed them the Snarktastic Duo! They are perhaps the two most evil little dolls around :) ! And Cosette borrowed some of Moon's clothes- just like real BFFs! HA! There was also a great sueding demo- OMG! So simple! I came home all jazzed to work on my Soom monstrosities! Especially after being introduced to the Games Workshop lacquer which will keep their hoofy parts from chipping! I bought two bottles of it. One leaked in my bag and it was my fault. I had opened it in the stor to see if it had a safety seal or anything since I had to get it home in my luggage- well, needless to say it did NOT. And I also found the perfect fake grass to give Birch her moss! So that was cool. I bought some manga from the bargain bin at a manga shop and raided Ailene's bookshelf so I came home with a ton of books. We made roast chicken on Sunday night and I had the leftovers for dinner on the train- just the roast veggies, since I'm not taking meat on a train. There was a wet snow storm on the grapevine but no mudslides! So we got to Bakersfield just fine.

Then when I came home I found that two people are interested in my Stella so she may yet sell in good time and I can pay Bruce back for the Yrie loan. AND on top of that on a lark I decided to see if Sprue Bros. Model shop had any MSC and YES! They did! Regular and UV cut! So I bought two bottles of regular and one of UV cut since apperently that makes a good final topcoat and there is no reason to use it for all the layers.

So now I am in good shape to blush and face-up Bygg, Yrie AND at long last Sard's hooves! Which I can now keep from chipping! PLUS I made a couple Etsy sales while I was gone which was super cool!

And I figured out why my TV picture looks like ass- the cable fromt he VCR to the TV is old and messed up so I just plugged the cable box right into the TV and it looks great! I have a bunch of stuff to watch too.
