Well, I have some good news! I have a new job, sort of! My art is now on rubber stamps thanks to Queen Kat designs! I'm one o there new designers. http://www.katstamps.com/intro.htm And I even have my own section http://katstamps.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1_49 Oh, and I get a royalty for every stamp sold! So this is cool. I was contacted by the owner of the company on Etsy and she liked my work a lot.
I'm also going to pursue the paper dolls. In January OPDAG the, I guess one and only paper doll organization is publishing an all art issue and I'm going to enter a page. That's actually as much as they want too. A single page. The themes are; Ancient cultures, Westward Ho!, and Fads and Fashions of the 50s. After some fruitless research at the library I settled on the 50s. Originally I wanted to do either Egyptian or Greek but I just couldn't find much referrence. And even with the 50s I had to order a bunch of books from other libraries. On the upside they have dispensed with the fees.
I would LOVE to buy a bunch of costume books from Dover but I can't right now.
