Dear sweet god I'm going to Alaska! I'm going to be a guest at Senshicon, a one day con at the University of Anchorage. At long last I will meet Brett face to face and I will freeze my ass off and hope to gawd that United doesn't loose my luggage since I'm going to check my food suppliments for fear they will be confiscated by airport security. I think I've never looked forward to flying LESS. The airline are assholes and so are the security regulations. The rules are insane! Since I can't eat normal people food I'm taking a couple grilled cheese sandwichs for my dinner in a plastic baggie and again- pray it's not confiscated. I have spent the last two days combing the TSA website and regulations, NOWHERE does it say a sandwich is verbotten (I'm sorry if my German is wrong, my dictionary only has forbid and forbidding not forbidden). It also says NOTHING about vitamins or food suppliments! So I have no idea what they'll let me through with. I don't even know about my wallet- which is chained to my pants because it's the only way I won't lose it (not kidding about this either). But the chain- is that allowed? There was nothning on the TSA website about that. Here is the entire list for the curious http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/prohibited/permitted-prohibited-items.shtm

Today I went to the Thrift shop looking for purses/luggage/carry-on+1 which is all they allow you. I bought a big laptop bag that I'm hoping will constitute a "purse" and I need to borrow my roomates luggage because all of mine are over the 14x9x22 they allow you. One of them- my favoritest peice of luggage ever is a tiny bit too big. CAN YOU HELP ME? Is a tiny bit too big okay? Like half an inch or so over?? I just don't want to do the airport walk of shame were they make you go and check your too big carry-on.  I kind of need to  NOT check it anyway.  I also bought a purse, which if they tell me 'no' to the computer bag I can run back to the car and repack so I'll have a purse, which is allowed and doesn't constitute a carry on bag. I know, I know I'm overthinking. I know I'm a nuerotic mess. I just haven't flown in ages and it seems like the airlines are getting worse. Like you have no rights, and there's no wiggle room anymore. Now if you even raise your voice or dare to complain they arrest you and put you in airport jail! You just have to bend over and take it. You can't even complain or express any sort of normal human reaction their assholery.

Advice on air travel from those who've actually flown recently would be SUPER welcome! Please!

I've been doing a trial run at packing and so far so good. I just need to bring that computer bag! It's so much bigger than the backup purse and has pockets into next year! Room for everything! Except a doll! The only doll tiny enough I have to take is Nutmeg and Nutmeg is tiny enough that I could lose her!! I'm dying to bring a doll but I just don't have one in a  good size to take. 26cm-30cm would be perfect! So I've decided this is as good an excuse as any to buy Latigreen Senny, Soom Violet, or one of those super cute DollLeekes. Mwaaahaahaahaaa! And that will be my traveling doll. My MSDs are too big (although if I had regulation carry-on suitcase it wouldn't be) and I don't trust myself to take the doll sans box. So I need a little friend who can fit in my bag (or my roomates bag- or my computer bag).

Oh! And that brings me to the good news! Igon has sold! His head was mailed to San Jose on Friday and his body is on layaway! That means Benetia vampire twins here I come!!!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
