No Suigintou for you!

che_gilsonLOL! And by that I mean me. I checked my order on Volks and it's cancelled so I didn't win the lottery. My prize though is keeping my money! Although I will say I haven't heard from my 2 back up plans yet. Namely Winterelf and Vampireanneke. I was freaking out until I realized it New Years and they are probably out having fun while since I don't DO that sort of thing, am sitting home glued to my computer waiting for the results of the Volks lottery. I'm far from alone in this though. So far on the Volks Lotto poll on DoA at least 20 other people who put in for Sui have lost too. I mean seriously- has ANYONE actually won her? Maybe Volks tricked us into entering the lottery and they don't actually HAVE anymore Suigintous to sell? Maybe they ran out and everyone who put in for Sui has lost... Although so far no one has won anything. No Rennees or Alains have been reported won either.
I thinkl it's time Volks started making more dolls to keep up with demand. I mean fine- limit them if you must- but my guess is Dolpa has grown immensely since the first one and my guess is that the demand for the dolls has grown exponentially in recent years due to a larger foreign market who are also trying to obtain the limtiteds. But I'm gonna take a stab in the dark and wonder if with this quickly growing market Volks is even bothering to TRY and keep up with the demand. At a small event a 100-300 limiteds are fine, but, Dolpa isn't small and the market isn't small. And judging by the price set by the scalpers on Y!J autions the demand is very high.
Live update #2- 3 people DID win Suigintou... Hmm, should I hate them or not.... maybe not. I kinda found another doll while I was waiting to Sui... So fickle I know!
Ooooh! Live update #1, just heard from Anneke and she lost too! Only one chance left! But you know what I'm growing as a doll owner. There's always anither great doll out there. And besides, I can afford to be magnanimous I have my dream girls!!! There would be pictures except that mother seems to have misplaced the camera!! I kinda need that to take more pics of Igon. Volks did a pretty poor job casting him and he has some resin nubbies sticking up along his seam lines. It's not to bad. I bet even a nail file could take them down to unobtrussive. But it's the sort of thing that needs disclosure. I mean I mention it in the market listing- for sure- but wanted to get pics. I also need to post him sans face-up. I hope he sells soon. I want him to go to someone who really loves him though. He's sort of a rare find. An Igon on a matching body! He's a teensy bit pinker than the Volks resin but not so far off as to be distracting at all.
New Years Resolutions..... None. I don't care. Make more money? Does that count? Spend less on dolls?? Is that even possible? Honestly I can't think of a thing. I want to go to bigger cons though. I want people to actually shopw up at my panels. But that's not something I'm in control of. It's more like 'wishes for New Years'. so I wish I could think of something for Dark Moon Diary vol 3! I wish other people on LJ had DMD listed as an interest! I'M THE ONLY ONE!! I'm not kidding!

I WISH FOR AN AGENT!
I WISH I COULD FINISH A PROSE BOOK!
I wish I could finish my Tarot deck...
I wish Etsy would pay for my crack-er-resin habit.
I wish my intestines worked.
I can't think of anymore... I wish there was mail though! I have a Netflix to mail! And as soon as I finish watching Barton Fink I'll have another one to go out.
