And the third iteration of Cabaret Fairy #3's outfit. I'm leaning toward feathers but I'm having a hard time getting them to look like feathers, especially the "skirt"
I was looking at feather "fascinators" on Etsy along with some showgirl/burlesque corsets and that helped a lot. The funny thing about drawing lately is I don't really do it much. It feels like it's taking time from my writing and I think I should be writing all the time- not that I do for Pete's sake, but still- so when I draw I feel like I'm taking time away from my REAL work. Both are technically real. The cabaret fairies will be made into the stamps, the paper dolls submitted to publications. But I just can't seem to shake the feeling. I used to draw far more than I wrote but this past year or so that's been changing. Despite my utter fail of comics career.
I actually did my first critique on Critters.org and it was okay. I mean I didn't offend anyone even though I forgot the what seems to be mandatory disclaimer of "this is only my opinion- take or leave it". If I ever submit anything I think I'm going to put in the author's note- you don't have to coddle me. I will remember the disclaimer next time.
I am sad The Beautiful Life was cancelled! I KNOW no one else is! But seriously it had the WORST time slot ever! I mean I know they wanted to keep the America's Next Top Model audience- but seriously CW? You put it oppisite Criminal Minds? WTF? They should have put it on Tuesday which is a black hole of suck! I mean jeezus! How many NCISs does the world need? I used to watch NCIS for the first 3-5 seasons??? But I've been blowing it off the last 2 years as I'm not interested anymore and with House on Mondays there is NOTHING to watch on Tuesday!!!! At least nothing that isn't boring. Let's face it- CW totally could have spiced up Tues with TBL.
