Are things looking up??

Well, yes and no...
I still don't have money for a Suiseiseki, I didn't have the money to enter the Dolpa lottery for SwD Yui and it looks like I woulda had a decent shot at her too. I don't have the money for Yaoicon (but am going anyway- I'm just not buying anything) And there is an awesomely slutty Yuigiri head on Y!J auctions. There is also an Elsie- an MSD I've never seen before who is cute. But mostly I want the slutacular Yuigiri. I have mixed feelings about Yuigiri. When I first saw the scans of the booklet announcing him/her I wanted it SOOOO bad! Then I saw the actual Volks pics and was like yeeeeek, I wanted THAT? Un PC remark follows- honestly I think Yuigiri looks retarded in the medical sense of the word. But I still look at them in the galleries all the time! Do I want one??? I don't know... kinda??? Maybe??
Also cannot afford: Dolpa LA. Will it even be in LA?? Well considering how long it took the Chi-town theives to send in those paper cranes I don't think Volks has time to book a venue in Chcago. But that doesn't mean an 09 Chicago Dolpa is out of the question. Cali may loose our Dolpa!! Not that it was doing me any good, but still... Dammit I kept hoping!
Hopes for LA Dolpa limited: Ran the girl they released at the Korean event. She's frikkin weird looking but sorta grows on you, like fungus...
what leads me to this conclusion? Well, when Volks re-released Masha for the NY Dolpa they gave their Japanese customers a chance at her at the Huis Ten Bach thingie (if I recall correctly) This means that they will release an Irvin in Japan as well, and WE may get a release of Ran. No, really, it makes perfect sense!

Also talking to other collaborators, which is a change from the usual scraping and begging I normally have to do. So, I may have a career after all.
AND Harper Collins has copies of DMD that I can buy. If I can figure out how to fill out the order form...
I finished the synopsis for the secret project with Brett too. Now I just need 8 pages of script and a plot synopsis for publishers. I'm relatively pleased with it overall.
