"Three thousand five hundred miles away"
Jul. 6th, 2003 05:52 pmThe search for the illusive seamstress is entering week three. I went to the fabric store and got the phone numbers of three seamstresses. One wasn't home. And still wasn't the last time I called her. One was disconnected. And the third one is in Montana for 6 weeks! Although she sounds happy to do it when she gets back. This means I don't have time to have a fabulous Gothic Lolita wardrobe in time for Comicon. I'll have to wear my plain old, regular clothes. This is all part of my quest for a fabulous life. A fabulous life includes: somewhere beautiful to live, fabulous friends to do things with, and self expression through fashion. Most importantly, the income to maintain it all. Travel to fabulous places is mandatory.
If anyone cares I am reading The Lioness Rampant by Tamara Pierce and Incubus by Ann Arensberg. I finished reading the Black Swan by Mercedes Lacky and I gave up on Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf. It wasn't a BAD book. If I had to read it for an assignment, I could have finished it. I just didn't want to. I am still reading Dragonfly by Frederick Durban. It's the longest 200 page book I've ever read.
Movie rentals for the last three weeks include but are not limited to: The Affair of the Necklace, Josie and the Pussycats, Minority Report, Enemy of the State, She Creature, Bring It On, Mom and Dad Save the Universe, Deep Rising, Hart's War, Far From Heaven, and Corinna, Corinna.
I am currently anxiously awaiting acceptance into two Gothic Lolita Yahoo groups. I actually joined Yahoo just to sign up on those sites.
