naomi_jay was kind enough to post on her journal. I haven't been working on any short stories lately. I NEED to work on Circumpolar dammit! But I feel all this pressure to get my bloody novel done!
I just finished on portion of the Party Scene During Which Things Need To Happen that is just awkward and terrible. I know what I'm trying to convey but I also know I'm not doing it. It might be the POV character I chose. Flora is what I like to think off and Nwe Englandy, at least the most New Englandy of the characters I have. You know, kind of flinty and pragmatic and not easily amazed. Maybe I am totally stereotyping New Englanders.... But it's done! And rewrites can wait until the book is done. Next up a drunk guy hits on the witchs and my only romantic thread moves forward! I think there will only be one romance per book, that is all I can handle... And it will be sweet vanilla romance! I'm sorry! I just can't write any more than that!
I think I'll write the first scene of the werewolf thing. I think I'm unofficially just call it MMA for short. Then maybe I will BEG someone to read it. And maybe ifnaomi_jay is very unlucky I will beg HER to read it! But that may be too much of an imposition. cornerofmadness may get a PM too....
I used to write almost nothing but short stories, but my last flash fic was last year sometime. It's been novel(s) littered with a trail of abandoned projects lately...
