Kyoto Gals Winter
by ~spiderliing666 on deviantART

Here is the second in my Kyoto Gals series. Winter. She's a tanuki and I actually Googled tanuki to get refference of real ones. I think she came out nicely. This whole series was such a bitch to do!

I've started work on Sexy Science. First up- Miss Genetic Engineering. Next I'll start on phisics. Probably just particle physics and astrophysics. But I might do more. I dunno. I should look up all the branchs of physics and see what strikes my fancy. Maybe I'll do theoretical phisics... I'm deffinately doing chemistry, geology and archeology, MAYBE paleontology. We'll see how far I get before I crap out.... Soooooo, anyone know anyone at MIT who might fork over for a cute t-shirt?

I made homemade ketchup or catsup, whichever you preffer. I needed a wheat/corn/sugar free ketchup and a few weeks ago I stumbled onto one. But it was actually supposed to be a salad dressing so I  had to use it for other than ketchup.  BUT this is a simple fast no cooking down of pounds of tomatos needed recipe.

Hardware: Immersion Blender or I suppose a regular blender will work.

Software:
Sundried tomatos
Vineger- I like rice vinegar since it's the only one I can eat but you can use whatever.
Oil- I like soybean oil.
Spices- to taste. I used salt pepper and cayanne pepper but it isn't very spicey. I would recommend a little garlic powder and onion powder.

Reconstitute the sundried tomatos (I use the dry dried tomatos not the ones packed in oil but I don't know if it makes a difference.) Let cool for a little bit. I like to mix in a high sided glass big enough for the immersion blender head to fit in. Add oil and vineger, a little each to start with. Puree with immersion blender. Keep adding vineger, oil and spices too taste, and until you get a consistancy you like. Mine turned out like tomato paste, but you can keep going to a more ketchup like consitancy. It makes a pretty decent amont too. Put it away in a nice tight storage container and use as needed. NOTE: the oil will seperate so when you get it out of the fridge just give it a good stir. I don't need mine for awhile so I put it in the freezer. I'm hoping it will freeze well...
