World Fantasy Con or BUST!
May. 8th, 2009 08:46 pmWell, I'm all signed up for WFCon 09! OMG! I was reading the list of attendees and HOLY CRAP! I've never been to a convention like this! Only comic cons and anime cons. Really big fantasy authors are going and editors! I think I may take a couple of my own books just in case! Although I can tell you exactly what will happen- I will be surrounded by literary luminaries for FOUR days and I won't speak to anyone because I'm totally chicken shit and I don't anyone! Arg! That and go all gushy fangirl on Garth Nix! KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH! GARTH NIX!!!!!!!!!!! Of course going to this con means breaking my perfect attendance record at Yaoicon. Which I AM sad about, beleive me. I MAY, and I can't emphasize this enough- try to hit both of them. But it's not looking too likely.
Should I get business cards printed? Probably not... now that I think about it. But I still have DMD post cards! That might be cool to bring! And MONEY! I'm gonna buy me some books! YEAH! Also I want to get lots of things signed so I'll be looking over my Garth Nix collection to see what I should bring. Probably the hardback 3-in-one Abhornsen Trilogy I got from the SciFi Bookclub, and maybe a couple Seventh Tower books... I'm not sure yet. I could bring Keys to The Kingdom, but the Abhornsen Trilogy is the only hardback I have of his... Anyway, it's too early to spaz out. I wish I could have a book written by then- a novel or something...not that it may help. I'm also looking into the art show since I blew gettting a dealer's room table. I may enter some prints and things, I need to draw more! Maybe put in some of my ACEOs in little frames and my CG colored stuff... I bet I won't be very good though, I mean they will probably have book illustrators and cover artists selling art. And then little ole craptastic me.
