Fanimecon!
Jun. 4th, 2005 08:40 pmWEll, I got back from Fanimecon last week. What a weekend that was! That con has soooo much going on. I never knew there was such a thing as 24 hour karaoke.
Sales went well! I'm so glad I got the Artists' Alley table! I'm looking forward to going back next year. I made a grand total of $150. A lot of that was the bookmarks I made. I'm going to make even more for next year.
There were so many great costumes, too. I'm dying to cosplay. In fact, I found a jacket that with just a little alteration, will be perfect for a costume of Sir Integra Wingate Hellsing. Maybe I can even get the costume done by Yaoicon.
The latest I stayed up was 3:30 a.m. I went to Yaoi bingo and was going to stay for the anime but I just had to crash. One of the best parts about the convention was the feather beds at the the Hilton Towers!!!! Oh, my god! I have to get a feather bed now. I've never slept so well at a convention. I wonder if all Hiltons have feather beds? I want to buy one and take it with me where ever I go.
The cable company, in a rare fit of promotion, has given me extra cable channels for three months. Out of these 50 or so channels, I have been glued entirely to G4. It's the only thing I watch. Sigh... It's very depressing. I would love to write video games primarily RPGs because I am an RPG fiend. But I also love to do character designs. What is depressing, is that it is sincerely doubtful that I will ever do either one. I don't have the education, the programming skills (or any programming skills), the contacts, or the ability to start as a lower rung grunt and work my way up. I can barely work and my arms hurt like hell. I'm good for 20 minutes at a time on a wacom tablet. Seriously, I have a kitchen timer.
I am also dying to get a Nintendo DS! The reason you ask? One word: NINTENDOGS! It's my key to pet ownership. I'd also like to get Animal Crossing and Trauma Center.
