SGU and writing too!
Oct. 4th, 2009 04:11 pmStargate Universe is super good! I know they pissed off the fans and I was as sorry as anyone that SGA was cancelled but I have to say the new series is great. I like that it's darker than the other series and I really look foreward to the next episode. I don't know if they'll introduce a series villian (I miss the Wraith!) but that could be cool too. I hate replicators though! I hope they don't have replicators. Anyway, hopefully the series will appease the angered fans.
I have been building up my credit on Critters. At some point I will hopefully have soemthing to post. I was working on a short story but that hasn't been going well. I am also trying to start another book, aside from The Russian Fucking Novel which is now up to 611 pages hand written.
I rented Monster in a Box from Netflix. It's a monologue by Spalding Grey sort of about this monster of a fictionalized memoir/novel he wrote which came out to 1900 pages- not kidding! And was 2 years over due to Knopf. I was hoping he would talk more about writing but he talked mostly about the events in his life during the four year period of writing it. I was however gratified to know that I'm not the only person on earth psycho enough to HAND WRITE. I can't even imagine how long 1900 page typed is in long hand! Grey wrote the whole book long hand and then took it to a typist as he went. Optimistically I am halfway through the RFN which will put me at 1200 handwritten pages and a little under 600 pages typed. I have been writing it for a little over a year now and that leaves one more year of work on the rough draft. I am a fucking idiot...
