I have been terribly slack updating my live journal. But I'm back! Wheee....My cable box died rendering my VCR useless for about 4 days before they could come and replace it. Now I have this gigantic digital cable box that's bigger than my VCR. And for this weekend only, I have all the pay channels. I think I'll watch Starwars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones. Mostly because there's noway in hell I'm going to pay money to watch such crap. It's such a shame that those movies went downhill.

After scrambling I finally managed to complete my Hit the Beach pinup for Radio. Yay, me! I actually managed to complete it all by myself. I didn't have to call anyone with frantic questions about Photoshop. Although I think I should have made the final version 600 dpi rather than 300 dpi. But I was really happy I managed to shade it in grey scale and then ran it through the half-tone filter for a screen tone like effect. Although I didn't really draw it the right page size, so they may have a fit trying to size it. I'm terrible about that.

Van Helsing was a good movie. I don't care what anyone else says. The last five miinutes were really trite but overall, I enjoyed it. One friend of mine called and told me not to go see it. But I didn't listen. I also saw Shrek 2 which was pretty much a big ad for the sound track. I'm also not sure why they felt compelled to put in those musical numbers. Not everything has to ape Disney.

The other day I checked out http://www.wirepop.com and it was pretty nice. There are some good comics on there. It makes me want to draw my own comics. I wonder if I will ever conquer my short attention span.

Books read: Lullaby by Chuck Palahniuk and Spider Eaters by Rae Yang. Lullaby was the only Chuck Palahnuik book that the libray had and it was the large print edition. Which I always associate with Old People. Still it was easy on the eyes. And as part of my program of self improvement, I decided to read more history and non-fiction. So I checked out Spider Eaters which is memoir of Communist China. It was really fascinating. I've had such an amazingly dull life. At least it hasn't been horrible.
