Crap and sadness...

I'm going to do some sample paper dolls for Dover http://store.doverpublications.com/by-subject-children-dover-little-activity-books-sticker-paper-dolls.html I'm particularly interested in the sticker paper dolls since you don't have the 'tabs' which interfere with the art and posing of the character. Thing is I NEED some themes! They have to be kid friendly, but maybe kinda edgy too. But everything has been done to death! But I know that with products like these there is a a sort of quick turn around, they will always need fresh products for the market.

But I just can't think of anything. Aside from ripping off A Little Snow Fairy Sugar which I just finished watching. I wanna take a crack at my own season fairies! Sob! It was actually a really cute show with a good story line. But yes- sugar coma inducing from the character designs. The funny thing is how ANNOYING Sugar is at the beginning! I would be mad too if I was stuck with an obnoxious little fairy going through my crap...

But so far I have maybe- cute mythological girls??? Like a kawaii Medusa which I have a total obssession with.

Oh! Amusing con faux pas- I was walking around artist alley and this woman had a picture she was selling and I go up and I'm like "So cute! A snake girl!" Well, turns out it was that apprentice Jedi from the Clone Wars cartoon. Needless to say I slunk away and did NOT go back...

SO- ideas? Anyone? Dover seems to have covered everything at least twice, but so far NONE of their artists are like me so I think I may have a chance at this. Plus they all color in traditional media. Not the shiny bright colors of photoshop which I use.

I would promise prizes for the winning themes but  I don't think anyone is interested in anything I have... except my dolls... LOL!
